Dear Families,
Students have completed their beginning of the year testing and the results will be sent home with progress reports on September 8th. Please take some time to review the results and set some goals with your child.
Next week all students will begin participating in RTI (response to intervention). Students will be placed in groups based on their testing results and provided instruction on their level. Staff will monitor their progress throughout the year to ensure the interventions are working, and to update the skills they are working on. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.
This week and next week a lot of our classes finished or are finishing their CKLA units and will participate in some fun culminating activities. These activities are designed to deepen their understanding of the skills taught while also having fun!
We have a lot of upcoming events, so please be sure to mark them on your calendar. Next week we are excited to participate in some dress up days to celebrate Homecoming week!
We are excited to have our Grandperson Day event in a couple of weeks. We are making some changes to the event this year and are excited to welcome our grandpeople into the school. Please see the flyer for additional information and RSVP at https://forms.gle/6TEvtnt9Avsgdcvj8.
Another thing to note is that we will be giving age appropriate lessons about body safety with the help of the Children's Advocacy Center during the month of September. We want to ensure students feel safe and are able to advocate for themselves when needed.
Reminder that we will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Yours in Education,
